Mark Jones
The Founder

Meet Mark

Having spent over two decades leading the UK division of a major global machine tool manufacturer, I've worked with businesses of every size, and I've seen how much difference the right (or wrong) machinery can make.

Over the years, I've been involved with many different projects in infrastructure, transport, nuclear, health and education. Having been involved with companies hoping to expand their operations in fabrication, I know the pitfalls around procuring equipment. Some companies have been sold equipment that didn't quite fit their needs, or have been left without the training and support to get the best from it.

"My aim with Fabrimach is simple: provide a clear, trusted point of support so you can invest confidently and build for the future."

Why It Matters

Capital equipment is a significant commitment, and mistakes can be costly — inefficient processes, inconsistent quality, slow throughput, or equipment that fails to support your growth plans.

That’s why we take a full-lifecycle approach:

Understanding goals and workflow

Comparing options with objective insight

Supporting negotiations and planning

Ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and scaleable

"The result: machinery investments that deliver value today and keep delivering as your business evolves."

Our Approach

Consultancy Services

As an independent partner, we support SMEs before, during and after machinery procurement. We provide clarity and confidence.

Pre-Procurement

Assessment & Solutioning

We take the time to understand your business, processes, and challenges. We define capabilities and create a clear, evidence-based brief to remove bias and avoid unnecessary costs.

Procurement

Assist with managing projects

We evaluate suppliers, compare technologies and support your decision-making. We help you secure the right equipment at the right value through independent analysis.

Post-Procurement

Support & Optimisation

We oversee installation, ensure meaningful training, and analyse production results to optimise settings. We identify bottlenecks to ensure long-term ROI.

Technical Expertise

Technology Focus

Fabrimach has deep experience evaluating and optimising the following machinery types.

Robotic Welding

Robotic Welding

Heavy Duty systems for any size operation. The future of factory automation, replacing reliance on manual labour and increasing output through Robot and cobot integration.

Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting Systems

Processing steel and metal with 20-30Kw sources. Technology has increased usability for heavier sections traditionally developed for heavy plate.

Tube Laser

Tube Lasers & Angle Processing

Tube lasers are becoming commonplace. Angle processing can be adapted by laser or via punch and shearing (e.g., Geka Alpha) for flexibility.

Iron Workers

Iron Workers

Multi-purpose preparation centres for punching, shearing, notching and basic bending. Essential for low volume, high mix work like cleats and brackets.

Plasma Cutting

Plasma & Oxy Cutting

Traditional thermal cutting for flat sheet and plate. Provides accurate edge quality and nesting efficiency for high volume profile cutting.

Large Format

Large Format Machines

Table widths and lengths up to 30m x 5m. Core requirement for shipbuilding, bridge manufacture, mining, and offshore wind turbine fabrication.

Industry Verticals

Markets Served

Custom-made Solutions
Structural Steel

Structural Steel

Enabled a Tier 1 contractor to increase beam processing capacity by 40% through automated coping lines.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure

Secured bespoke heavy-section processing capability for a major bridge project, reducing lead times by 8 weeks.

Transport

Transport

Implemented high-speed laser cutting for aluminium body panels, improving edge quality and assembly speed.

Manufacturing

Nuclear & Energy

Provided automation and certified welding automation for vessels, ensuring 100% radiographic compliance.
